The Brand Sir Iron by Marcel Witte got founded in 2017 in Bielefeld, Germany. 

The initial idea was to create something with my own hands that can have an impact on society. The first thing that came to mind was the high amount of "old things" or even "trash" capitalism creates and that most of these are still valuable resources of which we can create new and more valuable products that can again feed the demand of the people spending money. My passion of crafting allowed me to approach my, until then hobby, professionally. 

Because I was not just about to start a company but rather change my career direction I was determent to educate myself academically in order to ensure a deeper understanding and higher my designs. That is why I started a Bachelor in Industrial Product Design in 2019. 

Since then I grew from my brand Sir Iron to be an independent Designer.
